Trail Overview
License Plate Required! No. 2 East Trail is an "out and back" two-track. Located just west of US Highway 131, this trail is easily accessible with a lot to offer. This route starts with a fair amount of open space along the edge of the trail. The surface consists of a combination of sand, dirt, and grass, and weaves through the Cadillac Forest Management Unit. Like most of Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. Towards the end of the trail, there is a fair amount of overgrowth, so please use caution. The end of this route finishes with a small turnaround loop. Regardless of the conditions, this is a great trail for everyone to enjoy!
