Trail Overview
NFS 6645 is a beautiful and easy logging trail located within the Manistee National Forest. Starting from the eastern end, it's mostly a sweeping gravel road/trail until the bend at mile marker 1.5. Here, the trail transitions into dirt and sand and becomes more rugged. Like most of Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Come prepared. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle, with limited places to pass. Along the track, you'll find a quaint stream called Woody Creek, that is very picturesque. Regardless of the conditions, this is a great trail that leads to several other great nearby trails!
