Trail Overview

Windy Gap ATV Trail is a 1.8-mile ride with an 800-foot elevation gain from west to east, beginning at the large dirt Windy Gap Trailhead. The trail is wide and smooth, with easy features like gentle rollers from the waterbars, shallow ruts, small gravelly rocks, dips, and log and stick debris in the trail. Part of it is a shelfy traverse, and there's a big, banked corner that's especially fun for ATVs. The trail is well-marked with clear signage, making navigation easy and the ride enjoyable. Connect to Milma Creek and Tibbs Creek for a 15-mile out-and-back ride.
