Trail Overview
Bull Mountain Road is in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. The trail branches off Winding Stair Gap Road, and, like many north Georgia Forest Service routes, the surface is mostly gravel with patches and brief stretches of dirt (red clay). 4WD is recommended, especially during or after rainfall, when the road may be slick. Airing down is not necessary but may soften the ride. There are some tight curves, and pinstriping is unlikely while dense forest surrounds the trail. Cell service is spotty at best; download maps in onX before you go. It's a fun drive, but be aware that part of it may be gated or closed at times. Plenty of outdoor activities are nearby, including camping, hiking, and mountain biking.

Difficulty
Ruts here and there and slick when wet. As with any forested route, especially out-and-back, some means of clearing trees blocking the trail is recommended. A chainsaw is best but at least a strap to pull a tree aside far enough to get by.
