Trail Overview

Stony Pass Road begins off of Wigwam Creek Road, near Cheesman Reservoir in the Pike National Forest. The road heads north towards Wellington Lake. This is a dirt road that can be accessed by most passenger vehicles in dry conditions. There are a few spots that can hold up to 6" inches of water in wet conditions. All obstacles on the road are under 8". This is a scenic drive with great mountain and lake views.

Difficulty

This is a dirt road in good condition is most areas. All potholes or rocks found along the road are under 8". A few sections of the road can hold up to 6" of standing water in wet conditions.

The trail looked in good condition, I went during a rainy day and it was just muddy but not bad, there was only one small section where it did get real technical where a sedan two wheel drive might not make it other than that any truck or SUV should be fine. nice trail with some nice campsites along the sides.
