Trail Overview

Venturing out of Hermosa Park along Hermosa Creek, the very well maintained Forest Service Road turns into a beat up road with deep mud holes, extreme erosion, and aggressive switchbacks with ledges that look daunting. After climbing the multiple switchbacks, the trail lands on a shelf where you'll find the old location of the Graysill Mine Cabins and a remarkable view of the West Needle Mountains.

Easy trail. Only used 4x4 like 3 times for two seconds basically. Kinda busy road. Watch out for people going fast and rude people.

East side open all way past the lake & overloook. Did not go past overlook to west side, but did not see any snow.

Deep Snow
Easy trip up to the lake where Bolam Pass crosses the Colorado Trail. Patches of deep snow up to 2 feet about 10-30 yds each blocking road to overlook. Looks like it should be melted off in the next week or so.
