Trail Overview
This is a 2.1-mile-long connector trail between Star Trail and Lily Pond Trail. The trail gains over 800 feet of elevation from east to west, climbing over rocky technical terrain. The east side starts at the intersection with Lily Pond trail, and goes along the creek in a really scenic river valley. It starts as a narrower dirt single track with loose and embedded rocks and roots, with narrow spots and tight turns through the trees. Watch out for downed logs; however, this is a busy trail and popular area, so any downfall will likely be cut. The trail has lots of smoother, flowier sections that aren't as rocky, going faster through scenic meadows. Expect muddy ruts and some dry ruts as well in troughed sections. The more challenging parts are when you have to pick your way through big embedded boulders and small rock gardens. One of the more technical spots is when it gets steeper and looser with big boulders in the trail that kind of pinch your tire in a trough. It's a dusty, popular trail, and you'll likely see other riders, but you get really scenic views of the mountains throughout the whole route.
