Trail Overview
Sawmill Gulch is a short (2-mile) single track that leaves north of the tiny town of Platoro, Colorado. The trail gains 1,000 feet as it heads towards Kerr Road. It has several switchbacks that are an easy challenge because they are not too steep or sharp. The trail also goes through a pine tree forest and several beautiful wide-open meadows before popping out on the road. The trail has a few rocks, but overall is not too difficult.
