Trail Overview

This trail loops around a fairly untravelled bit of country at the base of the Collegiate Peaks, near Buena Vista. The road is well-maintained and passes through a beautiful meadow with several excellent dispersed camping opportunities. This route is a great way to get away from others and enjoy some gorgeous views, without having to go deep into the wilderness.

Difficulty

Most of the trail is just a winding dirt trail, without any major obstacles. There is one section on the way up to the main loop that is somewhat rocky and rutted out, but any stock SUV or truck should easily be able to handle this trail.
