Trail Overview

This short segment of the Morrison Trail is an easy connector trail from the Upper Chicken parking lot to the Morrison ATV trail. It winds through a pine tree forest and is a bit drier because it is a lower elevation here for the area. There is one downed log section by a creek crossing that is tricky to navigate but is rideable. There are a bit of roots and rocks but no major obstacles. There are also two narrow wooden bridges across ravines that are about 4 feet off the ground and require some good balance. Parts 1 and 2 of the Morrison Trail are separated by an easy ATV trail that is mostly straight with a few switchbacks near the south end.
