FS 933 is a narrow forest trail that mixes smooth dirt sections with tighter technical features as you work deeper into the trees. Expect several hill climbs, off-camber sections, deep ruts, and a few "Humpty Dumpty" style mounds that can challenge wheel placement and breakover angles. The trail surface is mostly loose decomposed granite with erosion washouts in several spots, especially on climbs and corners. A high-clearance 4x4 is strongly recommended. Longer wheelbase vehicles will need to pay attention to the tighter turns and narrow shelf-like sections. Pinstriping is very likely due to overgrown trees and brush crowding the trail. During wet conditions, the loose surface can become slick and increase difficulty on climbs and rutted sections. Hidden campsites are scattered throughout the trail system, offering quiet, dispersed camping tucked into the trees.
