Trail Overview
Access to this trail requires opening a gate--make sure to close it behind you to keep the area properly managed. The trail winds through a mix of pine and aspen forest before opening up into wide meadow sections, giving it a pretty balanced feel between tight wooded driving and more open cruising. The terrain stays relatively mild overall, but there are a few features that break it up--most notably some off-camber sections reaching around 23 degrees that may make you pay attention, especially in wet or snowy conditions. There are a handful of small hill climbs with loose dirt and light rutting, nothing overly technical, but enough to require proper line choice. The trail also includes a shallow stream crossing that can vary depending on season, along with several rutted sections that could get more aggressive after rain or snowmelt. Dispersed camping is one of the highlights out here, with multiple solid spots tucked into both the trees and open meadow areas. The scenery shifts nicely throughout the route, moving between dense forest, aspens, and rolling terrain with good views. Overall, this is a great moderate trail--perfect for a relaxed run with a group, newer drivers looking to build confidence, or just a solid day out with some variety.
