Trail Overview

The east end of this trail starts on Turkey Springs Road, and it switchbacks up towards Chris Mountain Road. The trail is a tight two-track between scraggly gambel oak branches and pine trees. Although the switchbacks are pretty wide, they are often covered in loose rock and ruts, making them a bit more challenging. The trail gains 650 feet over almost 2 miles, so there are a few sections of steeper climbing. The rocks really ping you around, which could be more difficult for newer riders. Overall it's still an easy trail, as there are no big ledges or obstacles, just some rocky steep sections. This trail is open 5/15 - 11/30 for motorized use.
