Trail Overview
BLM Route 018 is a short but fun 50-inch trail in the Cactus Park area. It is accessed from Route 013 or 017. When ridden west to east, the trail starts with a short climb but descends the rest of the way. There are some great views at the top. The initial descent after the climb is the most challenging part of the route. There is a fairly long hill that is steep and very loose with tons of 6- to 12-inch rocks as well as 2 notable ledges. This section is quickly followed up with 2 more short and steep sections that are off-camber in spots. The rest of the descent is easier but continues to feature many rock features. The trail ends where it intersects the midpoint of Route 017. East to west would be more challenging on this trail due to the loose and steep hill. This trail can be ridden with BLM Route 015 and 017 for a great 50-inch loop.

Difficulty
The majority of this trail would be a 3/10 but the steep and technical sections in the middle are much more challenging and warrant this trail being rated a 6 due to its shorter length. The combination of loose rocks, steep grade, and ledges on that stretch are what makes this trail a 6/10.
