Trail Overview
This is a fun and moderately challenging single track in the Bocco Mountain recreation area. This trail is made up of very tight turns through a variety of terrain. The entire trail is like a maze or a race car track because it has so many curves. In between the curves are really steep hill climbs and downhills. The trail continuously goes up and then back down with sharp turns at the top and bottom of each hill. These hills are made more difficult by a ton of brake bumps. There's small rocks and roots across the trail at times, but the roots are dry so they are easy to go over. The roots create a couple bigger drop offs/ledges that add a bit more challenge. The trail goes through a mix of terrain, varying from sage brush in the lower alpine to pine trees at the tops of the mountains, and goes through grey clay-like hills covered in small loose pieces of rock. It's very scenic with all of the different terrains and has views out towards the nearby ski resorts. There are lots of blind hills and corners, so watch out for oncoming traffic. There is a small short cut trail between A and C to cut off 8501B if you prefer to make it a shorter ride. This trail ends when it connects to 8501D.
