Trail Overview
This trail is accessed from two points on Highway 395 just south of Highway 120. It is a dusty gravel road, ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 vehicles wide, and is relatively smooth with occasional washboards. The trail winds through open meadows with heavy brush lining the route, providing a mix of shaded and open scenery. Several spur trails branch off along the way, including FS1S36, FS1S50, 1S37, and Aeolian Butte FS1S28B, offering additional exploration opportunities. Notable features include interesting rock formations and beautiful viewpoints of Mono Lake and the surrounding Eastern Sierra and Crater Mountain ranges.
