Veteran's Pass

Trail Overview

This trail runs east to west, starting at the Cut-off Trail and ending at Pole Line Road. The surface is hard-packed sand, and the trail is relatively flat, making for straightforward navigation. The route is surrounded by a few creosote bushes scattered throughout the landscape. You'll encounter washboards and whoops along the way that create a bumpy ride. The trail goes by a landfill, so be aware of the industrial presence in the area.

Difficulty

This is an easy trail with good surface conditions on hard pack sand. The relatively flat terrain makes navigation simple. The washboards and whoops add some bouncing and will slow your pace, but aren't technically difficult. The hard pack surface provides solid traction throughout.
