Trail Overview
This 50-inch trail network offers some great, varied terrain in the Cactus Flats area. The trails are well-marked, easy to follow, and are fun on bikes and ATVs of all sizes. This network consists of two main trails running parallel to one another, with 3 cutoffs to get between them. The area closest to the staging area is fairly sandy, and the surface transitions to more rocky terrain after the first cutoff.

Difficulty
Even though most parts of this trail are rated as easy, it is not a very quick trail. Several sections have long rock gardens. There are occasional steep hills on the Vista trail, but each is relatively short. The cross-trails between Vista and Pinyon allow for the bypassing of these hills. Joshua Loop is the western-most section of the trail, and is similar to the staging area as it has more sand than rocks. There is a hill marked a a black diamond between 2E20.4 and 2E20.5 on the Vista trail, but it is still a relatively easy hill climb with minimal rocks or obstacles.
