This is a fun, easy trail in a less trafficked part of the park. There are offshoots to explore early in the drive while you are in BLM land. Stay on the trail when you enter JTNP. The view at the end is well worth the 10 min hike up to the peak! We saw no one on our way in, and a moto and jeep on our way out.

Easy going, some sandy spots, but nothing difficult. No mud as all water seems to have dried up. Worth the view at the top!
