Trail Overview

15EV64 is about 1 mile long with several technical features. The trail has lots of big loose rocks, deep ruts and steep technical rocky sections. There's a big rock obstacle that's a steep and several-foot-tall ledge, plus an extreme hill climb on the east end that goes straight up the hill. It's somewhat hard to tell if you are on the correct trail out here because there's tons of goat trails and rain ruts that look like the trail, and it's not marked except for at the west entrance. From the west end it winds up the hillside with lots of loose rock of various sizes, plus a couple small downed logs. It gets troughed out in a few spots, with the loose rock filling in the troughs. On the east end, it hill climbs straight up a loose grassy hill that will be very difficult for a lot of riders. The climb just keeps going until it reaches a road section. Then the trail follows the rocky and loose road back down to the staging area. It's a short trail, but will be quite difficult for a lot of riders, and is one of the hardest trails in the system.

Access Description

The Interface OHV Trail System is located in the Stanislaus National Forest near the town of Arnold, California. To get here, go north of Highway 4 towards the community of White Pines and White Pines Lake. Go past the White Pines day use area, and continue onto FS 7N08, which will take you directly to the staging area. This recreation area has ample parking, porta potties, and several primitive camp spots with picnic tables. There are more camp spots and staging areas along FS 5N52. The trails here are open from April 15 - December 15, but it gets very dry and dusty here in the summer, so spring and fall are the best times to visit.
