Trail Overview
Forest Service Road 214B is just shy of four miles long and creates a semi-loop. The southern portion of this semi-loop is extremely rocky in lots of areas and takes you through junipers. These rocky sections consist of large rock gardens and loose rocks. The most rough and rocky areas are located around Walker Creek crossing which is a dry wash. After passing Walker Creek, the trail will get less rocky as you pass Brockett Tank. The trail will then traverse through more junipers and there will be one more rocky section to crawl over. The trail will then open up to a wide-open meadow. As the landscape opens up, the trail also mellows down to a dirt surface with small off-and-on rocky sections. You will pass through a gate on the eastern entrance of this trail that marks the ending point.
