Trail Overview
This is a short wash trail through the desert flats off of Freeman Road, north of Oracle Junction, Arizona. It goes through a white sandy wash for the entire route, sometimes 30 feet wide, and sometimes narrowing down between the bushes. There is really low overhead clearance in one spot when it goes underneath a big velvet mesquite tree with low-hanging branches. The wash is lined with scenic rock walls at times and short bluffs, with towering saguaro cactus to the side. You'll likely see cows in the wash and be dodging some cow slop, and riding over lots of cow tracks. The wash narrows up in one corner as it departs from the main wash near the west end, then rides past some taller red dirt bluffs that are scenic. This trail is on Arizona State Trust Land, which requires a permit for recreation from the Arizona State Land Department.
