Trail Overview

This is a more advanced dirt bike trail that has some challenging climbs and exposed sections that will provide a decent challenge for most riders. The north end is the easiest section, as it starts at a radio tower and drops down a wide path traversing around the side of the hills, like a shelfy two-track or old road following the edge of the hillside. It drops into a tight wash with really deep troughs with big rocks and tight spots through the spiky plants. You ride over embedded rock layers like waterfall ledges and embedded boulders. It climbs in and out of the wash at times, with gnarly climbs on a narrow trail through overgrown bushes, with ruts and rocks. Sometimes, it's really exposed as it side-hills a section above the wash, like the dirt has been sloughed off down the hill, making it narrow and exposed. Expect steep, rutted climbs that require some technical experience. This trail is just more socked in in spots in the bushes, making it harder to maneuver. You have to get a little too close to the cactus on this one. Since this trail is on Arizona State Trust Land, it requires a recreation permit that you can obtain online.
