Trail Overview
Mina Road is a wide gravel and rock road with no obstacles on it. This road can serve as an alternative to Arizona Highway 89, avoiding the long, steep, and curvy highway that leads from Yarnell to Congress, Arizona. There are no obstacles along this road, though at times it does narrow to one and a half lanes, and is curvy at some spots, as you come down the hill. There are wash crossings along this road, but nothing to worry much about, as the entrances are mellow, and the drainages have been shored up to handle the moisture and rainfall that shapes this area of Arizona. Take your time on this trail, as the views are incredible. This trail is popular with hunters, and, as you proceed South, intersects with several other trails along the way.
