Trail Overview

This trail earns its name with its continuous steep climb, off-camber sections, and ledges that demand full commitment--once you start, there's no easy way out. This trail is hazardous and difficult on several levels. There are zero winch points to secure your vehicle uphill. If you opt out, there is no safe turnaround, leaving you exposed and off-camber on a steep hillside. There are multiple uphill ledges of varying sizes. The trail is narrow and rutted, with loose rock throughout. Expect multiple wash crossings approaching the central hill with steep entrances and exits. There are sections where you'll be hanging tires on the uphill. Not for the faint of heart, this is an actual test of skill and nerve.

Difficulty

This is an unmaintained trail that features steep uphill sections, with deep ruts, and loose rock. There are ledges of varying sizes throughout this trail. It is hazardous whether going up or down. Potential for rolling and/or losing control on the main hill are high risk. There is no safe place to turn around, and no winch points with which to secure a vehicle or have assisted climb. This trail has the potential to change drastically during monsoon season or after a major moisture event. There is no cell service in the area, so offline maps are recommended. The trail was run in an uphill fashion by a Longbed 2021 Tacoma on 33's in March of 2025.
