Trail Overview
This is an easy and scenic trail through the BLM land south of Salome, Arizona. It's a wide trail, like a two-track for the entire mile-long route. The western half goes through a flat desert floor full of dark and small flat, loose rocks, where the ground looks moon-like, then it starts climbing up a hill on a steep slope full of loose rocks. The trail rides the ridge line of the hills, descending and climbing back up between each peak and saddle, until it meets up with another dirt road. It has some steep spots full of loose rock, making it a test of traction, but it is overall easy and doesn't have any major obstacles. It's a very scenic area full of saguaro cactus, and the ground is very green in winter and spring, with views of the mountains. This trail is entirely unmarked and lacks signage for width designations.
