Trail Overview

This trail is accessed halfway through Ryan's and connects out to another dirt road. It follows the spine of a hill as a narrow single track, side-hilling on the edge of the hill, riding past big ocotillo cacti. It makes some sharp corners and crosses little ravines, sometimes with a sharp dip in and out. It parallels a ravine where there are several washouts in the trail that you need to constantly be looking out for. Part of the trail is more rutted, where you have to pick the high points above the ruts. It is constantly full of small loose rocks. It gets pretty curvy on the east end as it enters a wash that is a mix of sand and bigger rocks, before ending on another full-width road.

Access Description

There are several dirt bike trails within the Laguna Hills trail system near Fortuna Foothills, Arizona. There isn't a formal staging area, but riders can access the trails through the system of roads north of the canal. There are a couple of parking and staging options. On the east side of the trail system, you can park at the west end of Adair Park Road and enter the trail system at the levee. There are several small camp spots along the canal on the levee road. On the northwest side of the trail system, you can also enter at the other levee (from South Laguna Dam Road), and you'll find easy dispersed camping here as well. You can also access this trail system from Mittry Lake, which is a popular spot for camping as well.
