Trail Overview

This 2-mile-long dirt bike trail starts behind a campsite off Blankenship Road, which is very busy with campers in prime season (winter). The majority of this route is a very primitive single track and is unmarked. There's often not much of a track to follow, but you can see remains of an old trail and a few tracks that will help you follow the route. A map will definitely be necessary on this to complete the route, or else you'll likely miss the exits and entrances of the trail when it crosses several big washes. The trail flows over the rolling desert hills with lots of small climbs and descents, and it dips in and out of several rocky ravines, sometimes lined with tall rock walls. It crosses wide sand washes where you need to watch out for UTVs. There are a couple of small rock ledges that are ramped with good traction, about a foot tall, and some loose hill climbs. Overall, it's still an approachable trail for riders with less experience; however, it requires good route-finding skills. The scenery is really great, looking out over the jagged rocky peaks, and you likely won't see any other riders. It ends at a dirt road across from the start of the next single track.

Difficulty

This is an easier dirt bike trail, although it does have frequent loose rock, some steep climbs, and a couple bigger rock surfaces. It is ideal for riders with a basic level of experience looking to improve their single-track skills. It will also require good route-finding skills and a map.
