Trail Overview
This trail will have you thinking you're in crossing the Savannah in Africa! It's a one-lane trail, downhill (but not steep) and rocky. There are spots of erosion and water damage, as well as wash/runoff crossings, but overall it's a gem of a trail. You might get a bit off-camber dodging some of the erosion, but nothing too gnarly. There are campsites along this trail, mostly nestled in the stands of Ponderosa Pines along the way, as this area is very popular with hunters. The views along this trail are beautiful, with the mountains to the South, and the Coconino National Forest to the north. Other than that, there are no major obstacles along this trail, but cell service is spotty at best, so it's advised to have offline maps at the ready.
