Trail Overview
Forest Service Road 500 is just shy of 2 miles long and starts off rocky and bumping until you pass Table Mountain Tank. After passing the tank, the trail becomes less rough and opens up a panoramic view of the surrounding area. The trail will turn hard to the right and go downhill towards a dry wash. The last few hundred yards of the trail will become rocky and uneven as you approach Mud Spring. The trail ends abruptly at a fence gate that marks Cedar Bench Wilderness.
