Trail Overview

Fh1099 is an approximately 1-hour out-and-back trail that begins at Sa1004 near a water trough and dead-ends at the "B" for Bryce, Arizona. The final quarter mile beyond the B is completely washed out and leads to private property with no access. This trail requires high-clearance 4x4 or SxS and is not suitable for low-clearance vehicles. It is not heavily used, very overgrown, and drivers must carefully follow the track and map, especially near the B, where it's easy to lose the route on the way out. Expect multiple obstacles, including Deep ruts and washouts. A dirt "wall" obstacle exiting the wash, possible drag with a long wheelbase vehicle on the opposite side, Numerous 6 to 12 inch rocks, Significant belly and side pinstriping, especially on the north side, overgrown wash sections where pinstriping is likely. The trail passes through State Trust land (permit required) and includes a water tank. Evidence of wildlife has been observed, including deer on the trail. Vegetation consists mainly of desert creosote and cactus. Scenic views of the surrounding mountain ranges can be seen in all directions. Due to erosion and vegetation growth, this trail could become impassable in bad weather and continues to degrade over time.
