Trail Overview

This is a fun desert drive east of Quartzsite. This area offers a good number of side roads to add to your adventure. You'll end at Dripping Springs where you'll get to see some old stone cabin ruins as well as petroglyphs. If you want extra obstacles, there is an alternate exit route that heads south after the narrow, rocky wash.

Difficulty

Moderate: Starts easy, but gradually gets rougher. Cross and follow wash bottoms where conditions can be unpredictable. Cross one high ridge and drop into narrow rocky wash before Dripping Springs. Aggressive, high-clearance stock SUVs can make it to Dripping Springs. Alternate exit has one tough narrow spot, but is not overwhelmingly difficult. The biggest challenge is finding your way. Modified vehicles are recommended for this part.

Trail good shape. Had a Razor / Rubicon on trail. Razor is better as our jeep isn’t raised / we did drag. Just barely made it thru some tight areas. Stopped to see Petroglyphs / enjoyed Golden Poppies, Fairy Dusters / Phacial blooming. Had a good trip.
