Trail Overview
This 2.6-mile trail climbs 150 feet through a deep sand and rocky wash filled with lots of debris from recent storms. The trail eases up after half a mile from the main road on the east side, making the initial section the most challenging. The wash follows a mud wall on the east side as it winds through terrain surrounded by lots of vegetation and brush. There are many spur trails branching off throughout, which can make it hard to follow the main trail. Pay attention to the most traveled tracks and terrain features to stay on course through this maze of sandy washes and vegetation.

Difficulty
The deep sand and rocky wash with storm debris create technical challenges requiring 4WD and good momentum management. Airing down is highly recommended. The abundance of spur trails makes navigation tricky, and you may need to backtrack if you take a wrong turn. The vegetation and brush add to the navigation challenge as they can obscure the correct route. It can also be easy to lose your way in this area.
