Trail Overview

This is a very easy trail through BLM land near Salome, Arizona. It is wide like a two-track, flowing over the rolling desert hills full of saguaro cactus, creosote bushes, and cholla cactus. The ground is full of small, loose rocks. From the south end, the trail dips into small wash crossings and has shallow ruts and dips. Watch out for washouts along the side of the trail and branches sticking into the trail that grab you as you ride past. After a half mile, the trail turns into a wide sandy wash and continues in the wash for the next half mile. The wash is lined with big paloverde trees, and has lots of tracks to follow as it winds around the trees. The wash is a mix of sand and small loose rocks. The trail narrows up at the end and turns into a road designation as it exits the wash.
