Cerro Colorado South Access

Trail Overview

This is a scenic trail with a few mild obstacles. There is a relatively rocky patch of trail north of Cradle Tank, but other than that, it's not too technical. Definitely a very scenic drive with a lot of mountain views. It can be done in a good 4x4 vehicle with plenty of ground clearance. A couple of tight canyon crossings may make it a challenge in a full-size truck, but overall, it's not too bad.

Difficulty

This route features loose rocks with steep hills and tight canyon bottoms, making for slow going unless in a SxS or ATV. The rocky stretch of trail north of Cradle Tank will also slow the trip down. Flash floods and rainwater crossing could be possible during the monsoon season as well.
