Trail Overview
7Mile Island is a single-lane wide trail with minimal obstacles. There are some wash crossings with steep entrances and exits, but nothing that gets too gnarly. The standard erosion exists on this trail but there are bypasses in place. Creosote lines the southern part of this trail. As you move northward, the vegetation spreads out as is typical with Arizona hill country. This route is on Arizona State Trust Land and requires a yearly permit that can be purchased and printed online. The permits allow certain recreational activities, including camping, bicycling, bird watching, GPS-based recreational activities (geocaching), hiking, horseback riding, off-highway vehicle (OHV) usage, photography, picnicking, and sightseeing.

Difficulty
This trail is unmaintained and has erosion and partial washouts that may be hazardous or grow fully across the trail following a water event. The trail is one lane wide, though there are places to pull off if you need to let others by.
