Trail Overview

This trail starts off Castle Hot Springs Road on both ends and provides access to the Baldy Mountain shooting range. Gravel surface with small rocks. The U-shaped section near the shooting range is accessible in a 2WD vehicle. High clearance is needed when accessing from the south due to rocks and ruts, though nothing is technical. Beautiful cholla cactus, saguaros, and dispersed camp areas. Castle Hot Springs Road is visible from parts of the trail. Sections may be impassable after rain.

The first section to the shooting range is a maintained road. The spur section of this trail to the south has several washes and rocky areas to navigate.
