French Twin connects to Frenchy 6206 and is mostly very large rock and rip rap and dirt with grass and moss growing in some areas of the road. This road is very uneven and has areas of larger rock and grass and moss growing over the road. The rocks are very sharp so watch your sidewalls. This road has an area with a steeper climb, and due to the road conditions in wet weather, makes this section very slippery as it climbs in elevation. Water runs down sections of this road when it rains, with areas of steep drop-offs on both sides in some areas. Do not go off the road here as it is mostly built up on muskeg. Views of muskeg and trees. There are 2 campsites on this road with the last campsite being the largest and nicest area for camping with a view overlooking Fredrick Sound. Large Ferns, Skunk cabbage, Devils club, variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers line this road, and the road travels by muskeg and trees. Views of scenic landscapes, trees, muskeg, from the top, you can see Fredrick Sound. Warnings: Keep on the road, there is a drop off in some areas, watch for signs of road deterioration or washouts due to heavy rainfall. Be mindful of wildlife, especially bears. No cell service noted. Check weather conditions and be prepared for rain, fog, with low visibility, and lower temperatures. It is a rainforest. Suggested best time of year: June - October. Note: This is a down and back road.
