Shelter Cove 8340000 is a tree-lined gravel road off of Shelter Cove Road (section 2) that winds along the shoreline, following almost half of Shelter Cove. This road is a one-lane gravel and dirt road with Potholes. There are pull-out areas along the road for passing vehicles. You can find Waterfalls, Creeks, Deer, a variety of trees, shrubs, berries, ferns, moss, and lichen growing on Rocks and trees. This is a very scenic drive with panoramic views of Shelter Cove in several areas. There is road maintenance, adding culverts, and new wooden bridges crossing over creeks. There are 8 spur Roads connected to this road. The drive is very scenic. Watch for large vehicles as they are improving the road, and you must find a pull-out area for passing. Be prepared for Rain, fog, and stormy weather. This is a rainforest, and weather systems come and go quickly, changing road conditions for driving. There are deer in this area, and black bears are on this Island, so be safety-minded and have Bear protection available. A mountain goat was spotted running down this road.

Access Description

From Highway 7, take Revilla Road to Shelter Cove Road (section 1), follow through the Shelter Cove Spur road to Shelter Cove Road (section 2), towards the end of the road, turn right at the Y to Shelter Cove 8340000. This is a down-and-back Road.
