Trail Overview

The Black Diamond Peak 1 Trail is part of the West Side Healy trail network. The trail starts in the low brush and trees just south west of the downtown of Healy and climbs up the side of a lower mountain before dropping the rider off at the top of a look out point just north of Black Diamond Peak and provides breathtaking views of the Healy valley just on the outskirts of Denali National Park and preserve.

Access Description

The trail can be accessed by taking Otto Lake Road off of the Parks Highway and turning right onto Pioneer Road to the very end, where you will hit State of Alaska land.
