Trail Overview
This out-and-back trail may not be the most challenging or popular, but it offers a beautiful, scenic ride with unique highlights along the way. Due to the ranch traffic, there are a couple of annoying washboard sections to contend with. The route begins at a major dirt road intersection, a familiar spot for SCORE race pit stops, and gently descends through sections of deep ruts carved by past rains, as well as a sandy crossing that adds a bit of variety to the otherwise straightforward path. Eventually, the trail leads into a vast wash at another intersection, creating opportunities for longer adventures ahead. Along the drive, vibrant desert vegetation punctuates the landscape, and during sunrise or sunset, the colors transform the surroundings into a stunning palette.
