Trail Overview
This route begins off the Monte Alban to Ex-Hacienda Sinaloa Trail and weaves through a series of intriguing neighborhoods that feel more like areas where land is being marked off rather than fully inhabited, though they are fascinating in their own right. After navigating these properties with a series of sharp turns, the trail descends steeply before taking a sharp left, leading you to a stunning single track that winds through a canyon. Upon exiting the canyon, the path broadens into a two-track trail that climbs and dips through a range of hills, passing a couple of lakes. While there are some deep rain ruts and rocky sections, the trail is mostly smooth and connects with the Monte Alban to Ex-Hacienda Sinaloa route. For those in a Jeep or other 4WD vehicle looking to loop back from the Monte Alban to Ex-Hacienda Sinaloa route, you can opt to continue straight at the fork where the single track begins. This uncharted route appears to lead into Camalu, though it was not mapped during this trip, so be prepared for the possibility of encountering a closed gate or other obstacles that may require you to turn back.

Difficulty
This route poses little difficulty for a dirt bike, though there is a flat section where the surface shows signs of previous water coverage. It's important to exercise caution on Baja off-road routes, especially after storms or heavy rains. If you're navigating the upper two-track sections in a 4x4, be prepared for narrow passages with deep rain ruts on one side, requiring precise wheel placement for safe travel. The lower mapped section of this trail is a single track through a canyon that will not accommodate a four-wheeled vehicle.
