Alcatraz Bay - Single Track

Trail Overview

This is located just north of Bahia de Los Angeles. Pretty easy two-track access to the point where I started. After that, it becomes quite rocky. This is a rugged single track cut through some beautiful terrain. It is a fun and challenging trail, at times, that takes you over a couple of small mountain passes, around a lot of things that want to put a cactus thorn in you, lots and lots of rocks, and finally a long run of loose sand on the way to the beach. This is not a beginner's trail.

Difficulty

You must be an experienced intermediate and above rider to complete this in its entirety. There are rocky side hills, loose sand, loose rocky hills, washes, cactus, etc. As with any trail, there are easier and more difficult sections.
