Trail Overview
K22 Cutoff is a graded gravel road that begins at around 1,748 feet of elevation and gradually descends to about 1,013 feet in under two miles, as it travels through a dense, scenic forest corridor. The route is well-graded and fairly smooth, making it ideal for a quiet, relaxed drive. Along the way, you'll enjoy pretty views of the surrounding hills and forests, especially at open bends in the trail. Keep a lookout for local wildlife - deer and black bears are commonly seen foraging along the road edges or disappearing into the brush. The mix of elevation change, forest density, and light traffic makes this a peaceful and scenic connector trail or a great standalone drive for wildlife viewing and nature appreciation.

Difficulty
The road's smooth surface and gentle descent make it suitable for most vehicles. Light caution is recommended for wildlife, but otherwise, the route poses no technical challenges. Although this is a fairly easy trail, it can be challenging for heavy motorcycles due to the gravel and loose rocks on the steep incline. This connects to MK Main, which is a steep trail that also has loose rocks and gravel.
