Trail Overview
Embark on an enchanting journey along this two-lane gravel trail that connects Gillard FSR to Chute Lake/KVR FSR. While you'll encounter the occasional pothole and some washboard sections, the trail's charm lies in its stunning surroundings. Towering trees line the path, creating a picturesque backdrop, especially vibrant during the fall season. At approximately the halfway point, you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking vista that offers sweeping views of the valley and the mountains beyond. As you reach the end of the trail, you'll discover the inviting Chute Lake Lodge, where you can enjoy a delicious meal, stay overnight in a cozy yurt, or set up camp at the recreation site. Don't forget to take a refreshing dip in the serene lake! Please note that cell service is limited along the route, with coverage only near the lodge, and you can expect a peaceful experience with very few fellow travelers on the trail. Although the trail is open in winter, the conditions and level of difficulty can vary significantly!
