Trail Overview
This is a just under 3-mile trail that climbs 220 feet, starting at Levee Road and ending at Pole Line Road. The surface is hard-packed dirt with small pebble-sized rocks providing solid traction. The trail runs along a wide ridgeline with views of the surrounding mountains and the town of Blythe spreading out below. The route is sparsely lined with desert brush, ocotillo plants, and the occasional cacti, with seasonal wildflowers adding color when in bloom. A couple of spots on the trail run on a cliff edge with drop-offs on both sides, creating dramatic exposure. You'll encounter some shallow ruts and off-camber sections scattered throughout, plus one short, steep hill to navigate. At mile 1.4 from the east side, the trail drops into a sandy wash, changing the character of the surface.

Difficulty
This is an easy trail overall with good surface conditions on the hard pack dirt. The shallow ruts and off-camber sections are manageable. The short, steep hill requires a bit of momentum but isn't technical. The cliff-edge sections with dropoffs on both sides demand respect and attention, but the wide ridgeline provides room to navigate safely. The sandy wash at mile 1.4 may require momentum management.
