This 2.7-mile point-to-point trail takes you from Fossil Creek to the Irving Trailhead. There are several parking areas along this trail. Parking in these areas requires a permit from 1 April to 1 October. The trail begins to become more difficult after the bridge over the Verde River. There are pit toilets in several of the parking areas. Excellent area for hiking. Do not attempt to go beyond the Irving Trailhead, the road has been damaged due to landslides.
