Trail Overview

This trail begins as a wide, muddy logging road with a rough, uneven surface and gradually deteriorates as you head deeper into the forest. You'll pass several cleared logging areas, but beyond the last one, the trail narrows considerably and becomes more overgrown. It winds through a series of ascents and descents with tight turns, patches of deep mud, and occasional fallen trees that may block the way. The surface is a mix of rocks and mud, with large puddles that can be challenging, especially after rain. Turning around with a large vehicle is difficult, and we ended up reversing a fair distance before finding enough space to do so. Near the start of the trail, close to the paved road into Marcell, there are two connecting snowmobile routes. The trail does not offer any formal or dispersed campsites and has no amenities like trash disposal or water. Cell reception is spotty at best.
