Trail Overview

As this leg of the traverse brings you into the hill country of Texas, you will encounter bump gates, water crossings, general stores and exclusive camping sites on private property right on the water. Water levels should be walked, as flooding happens rapidly in this region. This track is approximately 50/50, with hardball and sandy gravel roads that are all maintained. Stay the trail, and do not park in waterways, as they are all private. Wild flowers litter the roads during the spring.
