Trail Overview
This is a hard-packed, gravel forest road that leads from Highway 20 to Trout Lake and the campground. The trail is smooth with some potholes and washboard, but is suitable for any vehicle type. The trail is narrow in places with overgrown vegetation and places to pass. There are pull-off dispersed camping sites along this trail, as well as 4 vehicle campsites at the lake, plus tent camping areas. At the Lake, there is a vault-style toilet and a natural boat ramp, but these are the only amenities. Cell phone service is weak, and the closest services are in the City of Kettle Falls, 5-10 minutes from the beginning of the trail.
